CHUCK BRAIN: Bolting Data Processor

CHUCK is like having a Flight Simulator for Assemblers

CHUCK is a Bolting Data Processor pairing with instrumented bolts to provide real-time feedback on achieved bolt loads.

CHUCK works with instrumented bolts from James Walker RotaBolt. Click here for the price list.

Assemblers and trainers can instantly see results when they apply torque, making essential-but-often-misunderstood elements of assembly – like the effects of elastic interaction, alignment, lubrication, and inconsistencies known as “bolt scatter” – suddenly crystal clear.

Your craft personnel see exactly how different practices affect their assembly – meaning your results will be a whole lot better when they get in the field and start torquing up your site’s equipment.

How CHUCK Works

CHUCK pairs with RotaBolt load indicating fasteners created by James Walker. RotaBolts have been in use ensuring bolted joint integrity for more than 30 years.

CHUCK is compatible with any appropriately sized flange that uses 5/8”, 3/4″, 7/8”, 1”, 1-1/8” or 1-1/4”, meaning users don’t have to buy an expensive proprietary skid.

Instead, you can simply swap CHUCK-compatible bolts into an existing demonstration unit or a bench-mounted flange and start getting assembly data.
